Abstract

PURPOSE:To expedite the heating of the connectors, to reduce brazing defects and to improve productivity by the mounting members for the heat absorption near the connects apart from the end faces of the fins of the refrigerant pipes and the vacuum brazing the connectors. CONSTITUTION:The corrugated fins 1, refrigerant pipes 2, connectors 3, and the refrigerant pipes 5 having no corrugated fins are tentatively assembled with jigs 6, 7, 8, 9 for the brazing. At this time, the refrigerant pipes 5 near the connectors 3 apart further from the end faces of the corrugated fins are fitted between the right and left holding frames 10a of members 10 for heat absorption and are mounted to the pipes 5 by means of locking fittings 10d. Next, the members 10 which are held mounted to the pipes 5 near the connectors 3 are vacuum brazed. Then, the heating cycle equivalent to those provided with the corrugated fins near the pipes 5 are generated, whereby the connectors 3 are brazed.
