Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a constant torque obtaining apparatus capable of changing characteristics of operation with ease, by detecting current of a motor by a current transformer, and outputting a signal to a servo-mechanism so that the value of the current detected by the current transformer may not exceed a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:Current for driving a hydraulic pump 1 is detected by a current transformer 10 and converted into a DC voltage V. Subtraction is made in a subtraction circuit 13 as to the voltage V and a reference voltage Ve preset in a means 14 for setting a limit current for a motor and the deviation DELTAV of the above two voltages is given as an input to a deviation comparator 15, which classifies the load conditions of the pump into three types and produces signals E1, E2, E3 corresponding to the three types of load condition. In an arithmetic circuit, a signal Y is produced from the signal representing the load condition of the pump and an output signal X of a means 17 for instructing the discharge rate of the pump, and a servo-mechanism 2 is driven according to the signal Y, whereby it is enabled to limit the maximum discharge rate of the pump, to protect the pump against overloading and to obtain a maximum output within a tolerable range.
