Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent excessive flow of liquid through a recirculation line, by restricting the maximum opening of a recirculation flow control valve according to the pump speed. CONSTITUTION:A pump 2 draws liquid from a pipe 1 and discharges it to a liquid feed line 4 by the aid of a driving means 3. A recirculation line 5 is branched from the liquid feed line 4 at a portion thereof located upstream of a check valve 6, and the flow rate of recirculated liquid is controlled by a recirculation flow control valve 7. A signal for demanding opening of the recirculation flow control valve 7 is applied to a signal generator 8, and the output signal of the signal generator 8 is in turn applied to a function generator 14 and an opening signal generator 9. In case that a signal detected by a speed detector 13 is smaller than a recirculation valve opening signal corresponding to the speed of rotation converted by a function generator 12 in respect of a required angle of opening, a signal integrated by the opening signal generator 9 and applied to a controller 10 is applied to a controller 11, which makes comparison between the opening angle signal given from the function generator 14 and that given from the controller 10 and outputs a greater one to the recirculation flow control valve 7.
