Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the necessary number of magnetic pole detecting elements for detection of position of the magnetic pole, and to reduce cost of a brushless motor by a method wherein the position of magnetic pole of a rotor is detected by combining outputs of two magnetic pole detecting elements. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of Hall elements 5a, 5b provided at two arbitrary phases pass through respectively waveform shaping circuits 6a, 6b, while after outputs of the Hall elements are combined in a waveform combining circuit constituted with an adder 9, output thereof is inputted to a waveform shaping circuit 6c. Outputs of the waveform shaping circuits 6a, 6b are power amplified in driving circuits 7a, 7b, and are applied to coils 8a, 8b. While output of the waveform shaping circuit 6c passes through an inverter 10 to be power amplified in a driving circuit 7c, and is applied to a coil 8c.
