Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate deenergization periods without overlapping the energization periods of stator windings of all phases with one another, by performing prescribed operation of partly overlapped signals obtained from a plurality of position detectors placed at unequal spacings. CONSTITUTION:As for a three-phase motor with phases U, V, W, three position detectors 2U, 2V, 2W are so nonuniformly placed around a rotor 1 made of a permanent magnet that mechanical angles of 110 deg., 130 deg. and 120 deg. are defined between the position detectors. The output signals of the position detectors are applied to a shaping circuit. The output signals are so amplified and shaped that the width of the signal of the phase U is 2pi/3, the fall-down position of the signal of the phase V is 4pi/3 and the width of the signal of the phase W is 2pi/3 or more. The signals shaped by the shaping circuit are entered into an operation circuit, which performs operation in order of priority of the phases U, V, W to generate signals of 2pi/3 in width for all the phases.
