Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric or pyroelectric element which excels in the durability and the humidity resistance, by coating a solution composed mainly of an organic titanate compound on both surfaces of a film having the high molecular piezoelectric or pyroelectric properties and then applying the hydrolysis. CONSTITUTION:A polarizing process is applied to a film of polyvinylidene fluoride, etc. to obtain a high molecular film 1 showing the piezoelectric properties. An n-butanol solution dissolved an organic titanate compound is coated on the film 1 by the spraying immersing, gravure and other methods after applying a piezoelectric or pyroelectric process to the film 1. The film 1 then subjected to hydrolysis after the drying. And a titanium oxide layer 2 is provided, then a metallic thin film electrode 3 is formed by the vapor deposition.
