Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible printing of dots different in diameter by a method wherein a plurality of wires are provided in a supporting block to support a plurality of printing wires at equal distances and, in addition, in a surface intersecting with a surface including said plurality of wires. CONSTITUTION:A supporting block 9 is supported rotatively in the direction of the arrow and movably in the direction of printing in front of a platen 2. The 1st printing wire 18 of four wires are inserted in the support block 9 at a distance of, for example, ten characters and the 2nd printing wire 19 is inserted in the direction rectangular to said wire. Caps 22 are fixed firmly to the printing wires 18, 19 and held in such a state that the tips of the wires are sunk by springs 24 in the supporting block 9. Printing hammer 29 is attracted by the excitation of solenoid 28 and revolved counterclockwise to drive the wires 18, 19. The wires 18, 19, for example, are provided in different diameters.
