Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve quality of magnetic welding by detecting shifting speed in pressure welding of weldment and comparing it with a setting value and thereby judging adequacy of shifting speed.
CONSTITUTION: Mechanical displacement of a weldment detected by a displacement detector 1 is converted to a limited value El corresponding to this displacement. Required time per unit displacement of the joined face is measured and the value is compared with previously set upper and lower limit values. When the result of measurement is within the range of these upper and lower limit values, a 'good' signal is issued, and when it is not within the range an 'abnormal' signal is given.
