Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a temperature of a leaf, pore resistance, transpiration velocity and gas absorption velocity simultaneously and quantitatively, by measuring the temperature distribution of the leaf of a plant by an infrared camera. CONSTITUTION:Temperature, humidity, gas concentration and air current are controlled at a fixed condition by an environment control apparatus such as an artificial light source equipment 10 and an air conditioning equipment 11 controlled by a computer 9 in an environment test room 1 placing a plant. A leaf of the plant to be observed is set on the fixed face and the radiation intensity of 8-13mum infrared rays is measured by an infrared camera 3 and is converted into the temperature of the leaf. Thereafter, said temperature is converted into a digital signal by a video processor 6 and a pattern of the temperature of the leaf is displayed on a color monitor 7. Said digital signal is sent to the computer 9 through an interface 8 and a parameter other than the temperature of the leaf is taken out from a file. Then, distribution on the leaf surface of pore resistance, transpiration velocity and gas absorption velocity, is assumed by using a prescribed assuming formula and the results are displayed on the monitor 7.
