Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent collision between saddles of a two-saddle, four-axis NC lathe, by checking interference between the share points of the 1st and 2nd saddles, incomplete synchronization of the saddles, etc., prior to work. CONSTITUTION:Differences between the 1st-4th axes read by a paper tape reader 4 and the display origins of the respective axes set on an NC console panel 6 are found to obtain moving dot extents b1-b4 from the origin on a CRT graphic screen, thereby outputting them from a CPU5 to a CRT graphic interface 10. Then, the interface 10 obtain graphic data for the 1st and 2nd saddles from the data b1 and b2, and b3 and b4, and outputs them to a screen synthesizing circuit 12 and a screen inverting circuit 11 respectively. Then, the signals for the 1st and 2nd saddles are synthesized by the circuit 12, whose output is sent to a CRT graphic display device 13.
