Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of heat transferred between an end of a cold rolled strip steel coil and a convector plate by interposing a flexible substance between the coil and the plate to reduce the contact resistance determining the rate of heat transfer. CONSTITUTION:A flexible substance 3 is interposed between a cold rolled strip steel coil 1 and a convector plate 2 without causing overflowing into the notches 4. The interposed substance 3 is required to have strength enough to prevent crushing under surface pressure produced by the weight of the coil 1, and ceramic wool or metallic filament coated with ceramic wool which does not stick to an end of the coil 1 by burning at a relatively high temp. is used as the substance 3.
