Abstract

PURPOSE:To always control the air fuel ratio of an engine to a command, by using a modifying quantity corresponding to a compensation quantity resulting from feedback control based on the composition of exhaust gas, to sequentially modify a learned quantity which is one of compensation quantities for equalizing the air fuel ratio to the command and indicates information for compensating the condition of the engine. CONSTITUTION:Output information from a rotational frequency sensor 101, an interruption control section 102, a digital input port 103 connected to an air fuel ratio sensor 14 and a starting switch 16 and an analogue input port 104 connected to an intake quantity sensor 11, an intake temperature sensor 12 and a cooling water temperature sensor 13 is transmitted to a microprocessor 100 through a common bus 150. The microprocessor 100 calculates the period of opening of an electromagnetic fuel injection valve 5 and sends out a signal indicating the period. Compensation quantities, which are determined on the basis of the quantity of supplied fuel to equalize the air fuel ratio to a command, are stored in a random access memory 107. Among the compensation quantities, a learned quantity which indicates information for compensating the condition of the engine is sequentially modified by a modifying quantity corresponding to a compensation quantity resulting from feedback control based on the composition of exhaust gas, to compensate the quantity of supplied fuel.
