Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a fine image almost independently of humidity with an electrostatic recording body or the like by forming an electrically conductive layer contg. polyvinyl alcohol with a very high degree of saponification and electrically conductive zinc oxide as principal components on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of electrically conductive zinc oxide and polyvinyl alcohol with >99% degree of saponification in 2:1-20:1wt. ratio is dispersed or dissolved in a suitable solvent such as water, methanol, ethanol, propanol or acetone, applied to a substrate including paper, a plastic sheet and synthetic paper, and dried to form an electrically conductive layer at 8-20g/ cm<2>. When the polyvinyl alcohol has <99% degree of saponification, the dependence on humidity is considerably changed, and blue is developed to produce an unfavorable effect.
