Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable continuous copying to be done from an optional position of an endless photoreceptor without staining due to a cleaner, by counting pulses produced in synchronism to rotation of the photoreceptor to control start of image forming. CONSTITUTION:When an original placing plate home position signal CBHP and a copy making command signal CCMD are raised to high levels, high level output is applied to the data terminal D of FF324 through an AND gate 315. The output 4CP of a counter having counted 4 pulses sent due to optical detection of a rotation driving mechanism done by a magnet, a Hall element, etc., through an NAND gate 317 in synchronism to rotation of an endless photosensitive belt and a clock pulse CLCK sent due to a high-levl copy making signal, etc. after a part of the belt having faced a cleaner has passed through an image-forming section are simultaneously applied to FF324 to produce a platen forward-motion command signal and to start image-forming, thus permitting good-quality continuous copying free from stain due to the cleaner to be executed from any optional position of the belt.
