Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a copying device, by using different motors to change the optical position in order to obtain a reduced or enlarged copy and to change the scanning speed of the slit exposure, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 12, a fixing device 41 plus independent motors 61, 62 and 60 that drive an optical scanning mechanism are fixed to the main body 11 of a copying device. The motor 60 drives the optical scanning mechanism and turns forward and backward. The motor 62 drives the drum 12 in a constant speed, and the motor 62 drives the device 41. In addition, a motor 63 is attached to the main body 11 to turn a rotary sleeve 32 of a developing device 15. Then the signal is produced at each position corresponding to the enlaregement and reduction respectively. The copying operation is possible only when each above-mentioned signal coincides with the reference signal set in response to the varying magnification ratio.
