Abstract
PURPOSE:To control fluid flow rate over a wide range by installing a multiple number of rotary valves with their passages connected in series, each valve opening its passage for a certain range of angle of rotation during one rotation, and any controlling rotary phase of these rotary valves. CONSTITUTION:Passages 32, 34 through which fluid is supplied to a rotary valve 10 join into a passage 40 at upstream side. Passages 36, 38 through which fluid flows out of the rotary valve 10 are connected to a rotary valve 12. The rotation of a motor 56 is reduced at a worm reduction gear 50 and transmitted to a shaft 18 of the rotary valve 10. The driving torque of a motor 82 rotates a housing 74, causing an orbital revolution to a revoluting bevel gear 72 with resultant differential rotations between No.1 input shaft 64 and an output shaft 18. Thus, a variety of rotary phases can be applied to rotary valves 10, 12.
