Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform heat treatment of forged articles continuously and effectively by distributing and supplying forged products, each in plural pieces, which are continuously conveyed, into respective heat insulation furnaces successively, and subjecting the same to annealing and normallizing then releasing the same successively.
CONSTITUTION: The forged articles which are conveyed continuously are air cooled to prescribed temps. with the 1st conveyor 2, and are supplied to the 2nd conveyor 5. Four heat insulating furnaces 6, 7,... are provided below the conveyor 5, and the forged articles are dropped successively into these by means of a supply mechanism. More specifically, in the case of supplying the forged articles into the furnace 6, the elevating cylinder 32 of the 1st supply mechanism 26 is lowered and an elevating rod 31 is rotated, after which the forged articles on the conveyor 5 are dropped continuously by an equally distributing plate 30 into the furnace 6 of which the top cover is held open, the top cover is then closed and the annealing is started. Then, the same operations are also accomplished for the other furnaces 7, etc., thus while the forged articles are supplied, the annealing is completed. The lower cover is opened, and the forged articles are released on the 3rd conveyor 11, after which the bottom cover is closed, then, the supply of the forged articles is accomplished again.
