Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a chain-reaction traffic accident when an own vehicle is collided with another vehicle from behind, by nullifying a signal from a sensor for detecting running during the application of locking once a brake is locked. CONSTITUTION:After a stop, when a relay K2 is actuated to permit a magnetizing current to pass through a coil 20a of an electromagnet 20, the brake is locked, whereas a transistor Q2 is energized, and a transistor Q3 is cut off, so that the function of the swing sensor 26 is nullified. Accordingly in case another vehicle has bumped into the rear of the own vehicle while the own vehicle is at a stop with the brake locked, due to the jolting or forward movement, a pulse the swing sensor is applied to a timer 28, the relay K2 is restored, and the energizing to the electromagnet 20 is released so that the locking of the brake is prevented from being released.
