Abstract
PURPOSE:To flatten the frequency of an electrodynamic speaker up to a high range, by achieving two-point driving by fixing voice coils to one nodal point of oscillation mode and another nodal point. CONSTITUTION:A voice coil 3 is fixed at one node b4 of oscillation mode B with resonance frequency f3, and a voice coil 3' is fixed at another node b3 to drive a diaphragm 1 at two points. With regard to two-node driving of mode B, nodes b3 and b4 are considered to be driven equivalently by driving forces F1 and F2, and the driving points by the F1 and F2 are nearly symmetric on one node a2 driving mode A. Therefore, this driving provides the same effect with the nodal driving of the node a2 of mode A by a voice coil bobbin 12 having a diameter x1+x2. Thus, the coils 3 and 3' perform nodal driving of mode B at a frequency f3, and consequently the attenuation of the frequency f3 is performed completely. Therefore, sound pressure frequency characteristics are flattened.
