Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the indication of the current position of a running vehicle on a road map by driving a display provided on the undersurface thereof detecting the running range and the advancing direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A step pulss for a unit range of running of a vehicle is output following the running thereof via a pulse generator 3 from a range discrimination circuit 2 under a scale of a road map. On the other hand, the advancing direction of the vehicle is detected with a direction detector 1 and a detection signal is inputted into a display driver 4. The indicator driver 4 shifts indication sequentially on a matrix type display 5 each time step pulses are inputted and the current position of the vehicle is displayed on the road map carried on the surface of the displayed 5. Therefore, dots a on the display 5 are shifted according to the signal of the detector 1 for each unit range of running thereby indicating the current position of the vehicle.
