Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent subscanning irregularity by achieving invariably constant speed motion by drawing back paper by the length of the nonlinear part of a rising step motor through the reversing of a step motor when the paper feed is stopped, and by performing reading or recording after feeding the paper by the length. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 7 which records information on recording paper is connected to a line memory device 8 inputting compressed information through a recording driver 8, which transmits and receives signals to and from a controller 10. To this controller 10, a step motor driver 11 which inputs a driving pulse signal and a normal/reverse rotation indication signal is connected and to the driver 11, a step motor 12 is connected, feeding the recording by the motor 12. Then, a feed roller 13 is driven. When the paper feed is stopped, the paper is drawn back by the length of the nonlinear part of the rising motor 12 through the reversing of the motor 12. After the paper is fed by said length, recording or reading is performed to achieve invariably constant speed motion, thereby preventing subscanning irregularity.
