Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an engine which effectively utilizes waste energy, by driving supercharging and air cooling fan by the combination of exhaust heat and the heat from an air cooled engine and by adding water to it. CONSTITUTION:Water is injected through a nozzle 31 into intake air from the opening 5 of an engine 1 and the air is pressurized with a fan 6. A part of the pressurized air goes into a cylinder through a pipe 7 and carbureter 12 and the rest goes through an air passage 3 and cools the engine 1. The exhaust from the engine 1 is discharged through the pipe 14 and mixes in a chamber 17 with the heated air after it has cooled the engine, and drives the turbine 19 and the fan 6, thereby the exhaust heat is effectively recovered. A drain in the exhaust flow is recovered through the pipe 23 into a tank 24 via a pipe 30 and goes to the jet nozzle 31. The engine recovers not only exhaust energy but engine cooling heat as well.
