Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of products and to improve productivity by providing an aging process at the final stage of a cell manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:Although a cell assembled in the cell assembly process has an unaged pole plate in a battery jar, the cell is kept in stock under the hot and humid conditions necesary for its aging reaction, while a liquid injecting hole is bot closed, or in such a state that hot and humid air is being injected from the liquid injecting hole. After aging has been completed, the predetermined amount of an electrolyte is injected into the cell to transform the plate electrochemically in the battery jar in order to complete a cell. Therefore, this can be carried out through a series of assembly-line operations starting with the base production process up to the cell assembling one.
