Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the self-cleanability of an oven by forming a sprayed layer of ceramics contg. an oxide having oxidation catalysis on the surface of a metallic substrate forming the oven with a sprayed undercoat of a corrosion resistant metal in-between. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a corrosion resistant substrate 1 of stainless steel or the like as a material for an oven is freed of stains by blasting, and it is simultaneously roughened to enhance the adhesion to an undercoat to be sprayed. A sprayed undercoat 2 having 20-150mum thickness is then formed by spraying a simple or mixed material such as Ni-Cr, Ni-Al or stainless steel as a spraying material. On the undercoat 2 a self-cleaning ceramic layer 3 contg. an oxide having oxidation catalysis such as Mn2O3, NiO, CoO or CuO buried in a composite ceramic material cotg. SiO2 is formed by a spraying method.
