Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a correct-dimension hollow structure free from deformation by slackening by inserting a water-soluble core into the hollow part and removing the core after diffusion joining in manufacturing the hollow structure by diffusion joining. CONSTITUTION:The water-soluble core 5 used is made by dissolving electrically molten alumina and pottasium phosphate in water and after tamping and hardening by heating, finishing to required length by machining. The water-soluble core 5 is inserted into the hollow part 1d of bonded plates 1a, 1c and the upper plate 1a is supprted by the core 5 at the time of diffusion joining to prevent deformation, etc. After diffusion joining, the core 5 is removed by dissolving it in water. By this way, a desired correct dimension hollow structure can be obtained.
