Abstract

PURPOSE:To impart stable and uniform bending force despite narrow plate width by providing specific contact pieces which are attachable and detachable in a rolling line direction by sandwiching the shaft parts of a pair of upper, lower work rolls of which at least one is movable in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Work rolls 1, 2 are made movable in an axial direction, and oil hydraulic cylinders 4, 4' are fitted opposite to housing 3 on both sides in the pass line direction of a rolling material 5. Supporting brackets 7, 7' are provided to the leading ends of their piston rods 6, 6'. One set of upper, lowr revolving rollers 8, 8' are pivotally fitted to these, whereby a bending device is constituted. In the case of controlling the bending of the plate 5, the rods 6, 6' of the cylinders 4, 4' are projected by the set commands of pressure regulating valves 9, 9', and are pressed between the shaft parts 1' and 2' of the rolls 1, 2. Since bending load is exerted in this way, journal boxes 10, 11 serve simply to provide supporting despite the movement of the rolls 1, 2 from the continuous line positions to the imaginary line positions, thus the bending load point comes always to a constant position and the stable bending load is exerted.
