Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an absolute angle information directly from a rotary body, by piling up plural pieces of rotary bodies, on which north pole and south pole are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction, and making number of magnetic poles different from one another. CONSTITUTION:A disk-like magnet 11 is divided into n phases equal to n pieces of cylinders of an engine on the condition that a phase is composed of a couple of north pole and south pole, and by doing so, the disk-like magnet 11 is magnetized. And, a disk-like magnet 12 is divided equally into 2Xn phases and magnetized, and a disk-like magnet 13 is also equally divided into 4Xn phases to be magnetized. Further, an arrangement is made so that magnetizing boundary of the magnet 13 is delayed by alpha in the rotating direction as compared with those of the magnets 11 and 12. By detecting these magnets 11-13 by a magnetic reluctance element, it is possible to obtain an absolute angle position information by using binary 3-digit system.
