Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the workability and accuracy of angle detection and to simplify a titled device by combining a stationary plate which moves together with a boom, and a light emitting device and a photodetector which stay still in a constant position in spite of the depression or elevation of the boom. CONSTITUTION:While a rocket 5 and a boom 3 are in a vertical state, a light emitting device 14 and a photodetector 15 are opposite to the point (a) of a light transmission part 12, and the light transmitting through the part 12a is detected with the photodetector 15, wherby it is detected that these are in the vertical position. When the rocket 5 and the boom 3 are depressed or elevated to an angle theta of elevation, an arc-shaped stationary plate 12 displaces relatively by an angle alpha, that is, the angle of elevation. On the other hand, a static member 11 does not move in spite of the depression or elevation of the boom 3 and therefore the light emitting device 14 and the photodetector 15 moves from the point (a) to (b). The number of the parts 12a from the point (a) to (b) are detected and is converted to an angle which is displayed. Thereby, the workability and accuracy of the angle detection are improved and the device is simplified.
