Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the air fuel ratio promptly and properly by installing a projected fixed end of a bimetal which opens and closes an air channel mounted on the top of a carburetor and by allowing the bimetal to directly respond to the temperature of intake air. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like bimetal 20 is accommodated in a space between a bimetal holder 15 and a cover 18. A fixed end 20a is fastened to the holder 15 while a movable end 20b is mounted to a valve body 22, the contact face of which is covered with an elastic member 22a. And the fixed end 20a of bimetal 20 and the bimetal fixed end 15b are projected together into an air intake channel 13 of a carburetor 11, so that they may make a direct contact with air flowing through air intake channel 13. The cover 18 is provided with an air flow nozzle 23 bored approximately above the valve body 22 so as to maintain the air flow around the bimetal 20. Therefore, the air coming from the top of the carburetor 11 is constantly flowing around the bimetal 20.
