Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an aldehyde mixture rich in straight-chain isomers, by carrying out the hydroformylation of an olefin in the presence of a highly active catalyst system comprising a platinum catalyst, a bidentate ligand having a specific steric structure, and a halide.
CONSTITUTION: In the hydroformylation of an olefin at 40W200°C and 5W500 Bar in the presence of a platinum catalyst and a cocatalyst, the reaction is carried out using a halide of a IVb-group element of the periodic table (e.g. SnCl2, SnBr2, etc.) as the cocatalyst, and adding a bidentate ligand of formulaI(the group of formula II is ferrocene seletion; E is P, As or Sb; R is aryl or alkyl)[e.g. 1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]to the reaction system. The olefin is, e.g. 2W20C alkene, alkylalkenoate, alkenol, etc., and the molar ratio of H2/CO is 0.1W10.
