Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a boiler having a nitrogen oxide removing means mounted therein by a method wherein a part of the heat conductive surface of the boiler having a specific temp. is formed into a denitration catalyst surface, and a reducing agent is supplied to a gas inlet side of the heat conductive surface.
CONSTITUTION: In the boiler for burning petroleum gas, LNG or the like, parts 17, 18 of heat conductive surfaces of the boiler contacting with a flowing gas 12 containing nitrogen oxide, and the surface temp. attaining 200W500°C are formed into denitration catalyst and, to the gas inlet side of the heat conductive surface, a means for supplying a reducing agent such as ammonia or the like is provided. As described above, the nitrogen oxide removing means is mounted to the parts of the boiler to make the boiler compact.
