PURPOSE: To provide the subject metal catalyst wherein a Ni-Cr alloy of a specific composition whose surface is coarsened beforehand is heated at high temperatures with a gaseous atmosphere of O2-N2 specific composition, thereby to produce a catalyst capable removing NOx ingaseous wastes containing SOx and dusts and having a long durability.
