In this information processor an initial program is loaded (IPL) from the external memory 5 such as a floppy disc device to the main storage device 1 after current contents of the main storage device 1 are saved into an IPL save area designated at a fixed address of the main storage device 1. This processing is executed by operating an IPL operation button on an operator console 3.
