Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of the operation of a processor by making selective connection among a fixed memory, an input-output control unit and a microprocessor by several buses and switches.
CONSTITUTION: Once one of input-output controllers 51...5m is actuated for the operation start, central processor 10 detects it and determines the combination among memories 31...3l, processors 71...7n and input controllers 51...5m; and switches 111...11k are turned ON by a signal by way of control line 101 so that all controllers will connect to any one couple of signal buses 11...1k, and central processor 10 also detects the end of the operation and releases switches 111...11k. In this way, operations equivalent to the number of buses are processed at the same time, so that the efficiency of the operation of the processor will improve.
