CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 102 of 1-100mu thickness consisting basically of Si contg. Thereby, residual potential is not observed at all or is observed to a negligible extent with high photosensitivity and high dark resistance, electric charge holding capacity during charging treatment is improved, the occurrence of floating and stripping from the substrate and layer cracking is obviated, mechanical and electrical contact as well as adhesiveness are improved, the degration in initial characteristics is not observed despite long-term repetitive use, and the toner transfer images of high quality and high resolution are obtained.
