Abstract
PURPOSE: To convert the rotation direction of fruits, etc., to bring all the surfaces of fruits, etc. into contact with brush rolls and top brushes, and to improve cleaning effect, by providing the upper part of brush rolles with top brushes rotating in the direction perpendicular to them.
CONSTITUTION: When fruits are fed to the top of the brush rolles 13 rotaing on their own axes and moving around a conveyor, the fruits are transported while being rotated. Above the brush rolles 13, the top brushes 31 are rotated in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the outward movement of the brush rolles. The fruits on the brush rolles 13 are rotated in the direction perpendicular to the direction of the rotation of brush rolles and that of the movement around the conveyor (the arrow a and the arrow b) by the top brushes 31. Consequently, all the surfaces of the fruits are brought into contact with the brush rolles rotating on their own axes and moving around the conveyor, so that the dust removal and cleaning of the fruits are carried out. Simultaneously, the dust is removed from the fruits and the fruits are cleaned by the top brushes 31.
