Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a combustion asistant agent when a dehydrated cake is burned by a method wherein heat is recovered from a hot discharged gas by heat medium oil and then moisture content in te dehydrated cake of sludge is evaporated and removed therefrom. CONSTITUTION:Dischared gas from an incinerator 1 and the like has a high calory and the discharged gas is heat exchanged with heat medium oil 3 by an oil heater 2. The heat medium oil 3 heated by the heat exchanging operaton is fed to a sludge dryer 4 by a pump 6, where the dehydrated cake 5 is heated to remove the evaporated moisture 7 and to dry the sludge. The dried and dehydrated cake 9 is fed into the incinerator 1 and the like. The heat medium oil 10 of which heat is and the like.
