Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the switching of a pulse mode by detecting the fact that modulation factor calculated in each pulse mode according to the power source voltage and output frequency reaches the maximum modulation factor determined by the number of pulses and the output frequency. CONSTITUTION:The predetermined pulse train is obtained by comparing a synchronized sinusoidal modulation wave S with a triangular wave T, and the pulse width is controlled by controlling the modulation factor of the peak values of the sinusoidal and triangular waves. In a pulse mode selector 3, the fact that the modulation factor alphaN calculated in each pulse mode according to the power source voltage Ed and the output frequency (f) reaches the maximum modulation factor alphaN determined by the number of pulses and the output frequency (f), thereby controlling the switching of the pulse mode.
