Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to form electrostatic creep image surely, by eliminating or reducing only the charged potential of non-picture part with a multi-stylus head and forming the electrostatic creep image with the rest charge potential parts. CONSTITUTION:Around a conductor drum 1, a corona charger 3, multistylus head 4, image electrode 5, copying section 6 and cleaning brush 7 are arranged in the electrostatic recording process. The head 4 consists of a number of pin electrodes, e.g., 6 pins/mm. with equal interval. Electrostatic creep image can be formed, by eliminating or decreasing the charge potential of non-picture part only, from the remaining charged potential parts through respective drive circuits of pin electrodes to be turned off. Thus, the power consumption of a drive circuit can be reduced and the electrostatic creep image can surely be formed.
