Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve transferability to plain paper by dispersing a graft polymer wherein a specific acrylic polymer having a hyroxy alkyl group bound with a compound having NCO and double bonds is used as a base polymer, and a negative chargeable (pigment) dye. CONSTITUTION:A compound which is obtained by reaction of isophoronediisococyanate and (meth)acrylic acid hydroxy alkyl and has NCO and double bonds is caused to react with a copolymer of >=1 kind of dodecyl (meth)acrylate and octyl (meth)acrylate (monomer A) and (meth)acrylic acid hydroxy alkyl, whereby a base polymer is prepd. A graft polymer wherein the copolymer of said monomer A and the monomer expressed by the formula is branched from said base polymer is prepd. This graft polymer and negative chargeable dye or pigment are dispersed uniformly in high insulation characteristic carrier liquid, whereby the wet type developer is prepd. In this way, the developer of superior transferability and good durability is obtained.
