Abstract

PURPOSE:To control a large quantity of flow of fluid with small energy by utilizing pressure energy of fluid by a method wherein a main valve seat is provided employing with a diaphragm and an auxiliary valve seat is additionally provided at the moving part of the main valve seat at a pilot type flow controlling valve. CONSTITUTION:When electromagnetic force is weaker than the force of a return spring 8, both the main valve 3 and the auxiliary valve 16 are closed. When the electromagnetic force turns to exceed the force of the spring 8, the auxiliary valve 16 stops at the position, at which the electromagnetic force or suction force balances with the force of the spring 8. Thenceforth, the pressure in a chamber 15 above the diaphragm lowers, resulting in allowing the main valve 3 to be lifted up in order to flow a large quantity of flow therethrough. However, when the main valve 3 is lifted up, the opening area of the auxiliary valve 16 becomes small, resulting in enhancing the pressure in the chamber 15 so as to press down the main valve 3. While, when the main valve 3 is lowered to excess, the opening area of the auxiliary valve 16 becomes large, resulting in lowering the pressure in the chamber 15 so as to lift up the main valve 3 to open. In such a manner as described above, because the main valve 3 is moved following to the position of the auxiliary valve 16, a large quantity of flow of fluid can be controlled with small energy.
