Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the multi-direction vibration-proof effect with a single vibration-proof unit by a method wherein a supporting member having resisting vanes connected to a vibration-proof body is inserted into a viscosious fluid showing a characteristic similar to that of solid material when a rapid shock or a pressure is applied to the body. CONSTITUTION:At the inner upper part of a container 1 is arranged an inner flange 1a to be supported in a vertical rib 1b in such a manner as it may be immersed in the silicon putty S. The upper end of a column-like supporting member 2 is welded to the lower surface of a pipe P, its lower end is immersed in the silicon putty S in the container 1, and has a number of resisting vanes 2a and 2b which are positioned in the silicon putty and expanded in a horizontal and a vertical direction. Between the interior of the container 1 and the resisting vanes 2a and 2b is left a sufficient space for allowing the silicon putty S to be flowed therein. Thus, when the pipe P is forced to be displaced rapidly, a rapid compression of the silicon putty S is generated between the vane 2a and the bottom part of the container 1 and the inner flange, all the units are rapidly solidified to prevent a movement of the supporting member 2.
