Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the abrasion resistant film with good adhesiveness at low cost by a method wherein a metallic substrate material is subjected to line detection spraying of nickel to form an undercoating and, thereafter, high carbon steel and nickel are alternately subjected to line detonation spraying. CONSTITUTION:The film formed by alternately line detonation spraying high carbon steel and nickel which is a relatively inexpensive material has a composite structure comprisng a mixture of high carbon steel and nickel and bonding strength between particles in the film is reinforced and hardness and abrasion resistance thereof are high. By line detonation spraying nickel to the substrate material as an undercoating, bonding strength between the substrate material and the film can be enhanced.
