Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform simultaneously transferring and fixing of a xerographic image with one roller by forming a photoconductive layer on the surface of a transfer drum with an amorphous material consisting essentially of Si. CONSTITUTION:The titled machine is provided with a xerographic photosensitive drum 2 formed the photoconductive layer 1 composed of an amorphous material consisting essentially of Si thereon, an electrification means electrifying a photoconductive layer 1 on the surface of a drum 2, an exposure means consisting of an illuminating lamp 9 or the like forming a static latent image on the surface of the drum 2, and a development means 5 developing the latent image. Further a roller 12 for transferring and fixing with pressure is provided so that transfer paper 14 is inserted to and brought into press-contact with the surface of the xerographic photosensitive drum 2 on which a xerographic image is formed by the development means 5 and the xerographic image is transferred and fixed with pressure on the transfer paper 14.
