Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of electric power consumed at the time of dehumidifying cooling operation, by using a rotary type total-heat exchanger as a dehumidifying heat exchanger while using a heat pipe type sensible-heat exchanger as a cooling heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A rotary type total-heat exchanger 18 having a turning shaft disposed horizontally is used as a dehumidifying heat exchanger. Air drawn from a room 11 is supplied to the so-called ''primary side'' 14 of the heat exchanger 18, while warm air drawn from a solar heat collecting air warmer 24 is supplied to the secondary side 16 of the heat exchanger 18. As a cooling heat exchanger, on the other hand, is used a heat pipe type sensible-heat exchanger 19 with the axis of the heat pipe disposed vertically. Since, in an air-conditioning system of this invention, one of two heat exchangers 18, 19 is constituted by rotary type total-heat exchanger 18, while the other is constitued by the heat pipe type sensible-heat exchanger 19, the amount of electric power necessary for driving the heat exchangers can be reduced by half as compared with that required in the conventional arrangements.
