Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove air bubbles as well as prevent a tube from clogging in an inking device of on-demand system, by releasing the pressure applied to the ink supply tube installed between the side of a roller and a housing while a tube pump is not in use. CONSTITUTION:A housing 33 is divided into two sections which are installed so as to freely rotate around shafts 40, 41, and the ends of two sections are connected to solenoids 42, 42 respectively. When a current is supplied to solenoids 42, 42, a silicon tube 32 is compressed between the housing wall and a roller 29 and causes a tube pump to operate. Next, as the pump finishes driving, the supply of electricity is released and the silicon tube is also released from pressure. By this arrangement, ink can be supplied through tubes 26, 27 even in printing, the supply of ink can be performed together with concurrently arranged tubes, the removal of air bubbles can be positively accomplished as the velocity of ink can be raised by narrowing the diameter of the tube and the clogging of the can be prevented.
