Abstract
PURPOSE: To save the energy consumption in tea processing, by connecting two tea-processing devices with each other, controlling the humidity, temperature, etc. of the exhaust gas of one of the tea-processing device by a computer, and supplying the exhaust gas to the other processing device.
CONSTITUTION: For example, two rough rolling devices 1 and 1' are connected through the duct 20 with each other, and the rough rolling of tea leaves is carried out in a rolling dum 4 with hot air heated by the hot air generator 2 of the first rolling device 1. The exhaust gas is partly circulated through the duct 19 to the hot air generator 2, and partly sent to the suction port 13' of the hot air generator 2' of the second rolling device 1' through the duct 20 by controlling the opening of the damper 21 in the exhaust duct 18. A plurality of the same kind of processing devices may be connected with each other, or the device may be connected with different devices such as finishing device, medium rolling device, etc. The data of tea leaf temperature, exhaust gas temperature, humidity, flow rate, etc. are inputted in a computer, and the opening of the damper, the air flow rate, the temperature and the humidity are controlled to attain the optimum condition. A dehumidifier may be inserted in the middle of the duct 20.
