Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce extra thin materials easily efficiently in cold rolling by disposing two units of duplex type dissimilar peripheral speed rolling mills in a combination of above and below, passing respective rolling materials separately therethrough, then subjecting these to ordinary rolling in a two-sheet pack, then separating the rolling materials. CONSTITUTION:Duplex type dissimilar peripheral speed rolling mills 1, 2 are combined above and below and are installed in the position corresponding to the 1st stand of a rolling line. Rolling materials S1, S2 are passed separately through the mills 1, 2 from supply reels 4, 5, whereby original S-shaped rolling is accomplished and two sheets of the materials S1, S2 are rolled superposedly. Thence, the materials which are held superposed of two sheets are rolled with the 2nd and 3rd ordinary type rolling stands 3, and after they emerge from the final stand, they are separated and are coiled on separate coiling reels 6, 7. By this method, the steel sheets having high quality are produced inexpensively.
