Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as a curing agent of a polyurethane, safely, easily, in high purity and yield, by reacting a dihalogenated compound, an aminobenzoic acid compound and a base in the presence of a catalyst such as quaternary ammonium salt, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A dihalogenated compound (e.g. 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,3-dichloropropane, etc.), an aminobenzoic acid compound of formulaI(R1 is H or halogen) (e.g. 2-aminobenzoic acid) and a base (e.g. sodium hydroxide) are made to react with each other in the presence of a catalyst consisting of at least one compound selected from a quaternary salts of formula II (R3WR6 are alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, etc.; Y+ is N or P; A- is anion), i.e. quaternary ammonium salts, quaternary phosphonium salts, quaternary ammonium- type resins and quaternary phosphonium-type resins. The objective compound of formula III is prepared by the reaction.
