Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve bubble transfer characteristics by solving the difficult point of the usual transfer pattern of a bad track, by specifying the angle formed between the rise part and hard magnetization axis of the pattern element of a periodic transfer path. CONSTITUTION:On a bubble magnetic domain holding layer, a transfer pattern of an in-surface magnetization layer is formed, and a bubble magnetic domain is transferred along the pattern by the magnetic charge wall of the in-surface magnetization layer. In a contiguous disk bubble magnetic domain element like this, a periodic transfer path perpendicular to an in-surface hard magnetization axis 21 and on the side of the axis 21 is set at an about 30 deg. angle between either or both of rise parts of its pattern element and the hard magnetization axis 21, and the peak height of the pattern is set about 0.25-0.5 time as great as a pattern period P. For example, one of two rise part of the pattern element has an about 30 deg. angle to the hard magnetization axis 21, and the other has an about 60 deg. angle.
